Offline Document
Redactor.
Find sensitive information automatically. Review what changes. Save a separate copy — with document redaction happening offline on your computer.
What does it do?
Offline Document Redactor helps you prepare documents before uploading or sharing them. It automatically finds sensitive information such as names, organizations, contact details and structured identifiers. You review the findings, choose what to redact or replace, and check the saved copy.
Three practical uses
- Before uploading to AI: remove unnecessary identifiers before asking an AI tool to summarize, explain or analyze a document.
- Before sharing with a third party: remove client, employee or customer information a consultant, vendor or external reviewer does not need.
- Before using online document tools: redact locally before uploading a reviewed copy for merging, compression or conversion.
How the workflow works
- Add your documents. Select the relevant country, domain and default action.
- Find sensitive information locally. Rules and entity recognition propose findings on your computer.
- Review and decide. Redact details, use consistent placeholders such as PERSON_1, keep relevant text or manually mark missed information.
- Save and check a separate copy. Preserve the original and review the whole output before sharing.

What does offline mean?
Document redaction runs on your computer, even when it is disconnected from the internet. The app does not automatically upload your originals or redacted copies to an AI service. Initial installation and model setup may require downloads; release instructions will explain the setup requirements.
Document formats
The first-release focus is English-language, text-based unencrypted PDF, ordinary Word documents (DOCX), and UTF-8 plain text (TXT) or pasted text. Scans, protected files and complex embedded content require specific support. Tested format coverage will accompany each installer.
Platforms and availability
macOS and Windows are the first release targets. Linux is planned later. Public installers are not linked yet. System requirements, setup instructions, pricing and license details will be published with release information.
Keep your judgment in the loop
Detection can miss details, and context can still reveal identity after direct identifiers are removed. Review the entire saved copy and any unresolved content. Redaction does not guarantee anonymity or permission to share.
